These terms apply when you use Cutscores. Please read them before buying. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them.
Cutscores is operated by Grant Efland, a sole proprietor based in Georgia, United States ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@cutscores.app.
Cutscores sells independently written study material for professional certification exams: practice questions, worked explanations, flashcards, study guides, and timed practice exams.
Cutscores is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by any certification body, including Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI), ISC2, CompTIA, Amazon Web Services, Inc., or Scrum.org. PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CISSP, CC, Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, PSM, and all other certification names and marks are the property of their respective owners. We refer to them only to describe which exam our material prepares you for, which is nominative fair use.
Our material is written from each certification body's own published exam outline. It does not contain real exam questions, and we do not obtain, use, or distribute actual exam content. Reproducing live exam questions violates the non-disclosure agreements that certification bodies require of candidates, and we do not do it.
We do not promise, guarantee, or imply that using Cutscores will result in passing any exam. Whether you pass depends on your preparation, your experience, how you perform on the day, and the certification body's own scoring, none of which we control.
What we do commit to is that our material is written against the exam outline that is current at the date shown on each exam, and that we revise it when a certification body publishes a change.
Account sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password.
You buy access to a specific exam's material for a fixed term, either 6 months or 12 months from the date of purchase. Current prices and terms are shown on each exam's page.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own exam preparation during your access term.
You may not:
All material remains our intellectual property. This licence ends when your access term ends.
Cutscores lets you flag a question or propose a more accurate version. This is genuinely useful to us, and we read all of it.
If you send feedback, a correction, or a proposed question, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, and incorporate it into the product without payment or attribution. Please do not send us anything you are not free to share, and in particular do not send us real exam content you saw on an actual exam.
We check each exam's outline against the certification body's own published documents and show the date we last verified it. Even so, exam outlines change, and errors happen. We do not warrant that the material is complete, error-free, or current at every moment.
If you find an error, tell us. We correct confirmed errors and the fix reaches everyone with active access.
We aim to keep Cutscores available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to suspend access for maintenance, and we may change, add, or discontinue material. If we discontinue an exam entirely while you have active paid access to it, we will refund the unused portion of your term.
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we never receive or store your full card details. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects access you have already bought.
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to you, unless we are required to collect them, in which case they are shown at checkout.

You can stop using Cutscores at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, in particular by sharing or redistributing the material. Where a breach is serious, for example bulk redistribution, we may terminate without a refund.
Cutscores is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Cutscores is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam fees, lost income, lost opportunities, or the cost of a retake.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell active customers by email. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use Cutscores after a change means you accept it.
